Founded in 1929, Adidas is now known as one of the biggest shoes and sportswear manufactures in the world. The brand was founded by the two brothers Adolf Dassler and Rudolf. After relations between them had broken down in 1949, the brothers split up, with Rudolf founding Ruda, later rebranded to Puma. Sneakers coming from the brand are built for endurance, yet often carry their vintage styles through to modern times, whilst staying comfortable. Once proclaimed by Run DMC, ‘Me and my Adidas do the illest things. We travel on gravel, dirt road or street. I wear my Adidas when I rock the beat.’
Now, not only a sportswear manufacturer, the brand has teamed with numerous designers, including the likes of Rick Owens, Raf Simons and Stella McCartney.
