Founded in 2003 with a focus on sustainability and functionality, KEEN Footwear first grabbed mass media attention, when in reaction to the 2004 tsunami in Thailand, KEEN joined the relief effort by pulling their $1M advertising budget and diverting it to disaster relief.
Since their start, founded in the toe-protecting sandal, The Newport Sandal, the brand has gone into both hiking, casual and sports footwear, yet never straying away from their core beliefs.
