About VEILANCE

Veilance was launched in 2009 as Arc’teryx Veilance and rebranded simply as Veilance in 2019 for its tenth anniversary. The concept began around 2007 under then-CEO Tyler Jordan, who envisioned translating Arc’teryx’s advanced outdoor performance into refined, city-ready garments. Designers Errolson Hugh and Conroy Nachtigall helped shape the initial vision, focusing on clean silhouettes, technical materials, and an architectural approach to apparel.

The debut collection featured 15 pieces—streamlined coats, field jackets, and tailored outerwear—crafted from GORE‑Tex and other performance fabrics. Produced at Arc’teryx’s Arc’One facility near Vancouver, Veilance garments benefited from direct collaboration between design and manufacturing teams, enabling continuous prototyping and engineering innovation.

In 2015, designer Taka Kasuga became Creative Director, steering the brand into a new phase that emphasized anatomical patterning, modular systems, and an even more minimalist aesthetic. He introduced E3D (Ergonomic 3D Design) patterning, new proprietary textiles, and refined constructions. In 2021, Veilance launched its first women’s collection, extending its core principles to tailored yet performance-driven womenswear.

Veilance remains known for understated, premium outerwear like the Monitor Coat, Field Jacket, and Quartic series—pieces that merge technical functionality with contemporary design. With its emphasis on quiet innovation, invisible functionality, and long-lasting construction, Veilance has carved out a space between performance gear and minimalist luxury, appealing to discerning urban wearers who value restraint, precision, and durability.
